landscape

Gingoogcity, National Plaza's Stage February 7, 2014

Plaza’s Stage

This landscape is made for the youth or anyone who will have any kind for physical practice like dancing or yoga and outdoors activity in our community. This is made of concrete structures. The floor is made of tiles and the roof is made up sin. And its barrier is steel with style and painted with black, and it has a four entrance or exit stairs. And it has plants on every edges of the stage that makes more comfortable to look at.
Having this kind of structures really had a great impact to the local and foreigner visitors because it is nice to look at. And there is a means of this kind of landscape.

                                           Humanities 1

These subjects talk many things about, Architecture, music, dance, colors and many more and their significant to human life.

We had a grouping in our class sessions. And were having a MP4 (Manila paper 4ever) which we are using in our reports in our assigned topics. It’s really great, since it give us some ideas to make our discussion more effective to be learned by my classmate.

I learned a lot from my classmate because we’re having university in which we are visiting other groups for us to listen about their report and vice versa. We had a great time with them because e sure our thoughts and understanding about the lesson.

I learned many things from our professor just like using this blog spot.com for us to be exposed to internet so that we can use this program in the near future the using it in our working place. She help to be more active and curious about things around us and it’s significant to our human lives. She did a good job since she discuss about element of designs, principle of design, landscape then method of groupings plans, elements of colour and how to read stars and etc.

Landscape

This picture was taken at Pidlagahan Resort  last Wednesday, February 05, 2014. As you can see in the picture, it has different colors like green, yellow, red and pink. It has a curve and straight line. when it comes to the texture, it uses rocks as its design. And I could say that the scale is not in balance because the formation of plants are different to each other.

The landscape uses different and unique kinds of plants. When you see it personally, it has simplicity because it makes the viewer more comfortable due to its simple design. Well, it has no proportion because the sizes of the plants are different as what I've said a while ago.  Corner planting is also present, and also the mass planting. As you can see in the picture, there are group of plants,

What have you learned in Humanities'1 for a half semester?

 1. My first impression about the subject was somewhat different to its true meaning. At first, for me the meaning of humanities is that it tackles about the creativity of a person in the field of arts. But as we go through in our discussion, I've learned that humanities is a field of science that studies human cultures. Art is also present in humanities because art is a part of human activities. We may not noticed it but what we do everyday, there's an art on it.

2. in terms of teaching strategy, Ms. Marian uses a miniversity type of teaching. i could say that it is new to me. Miniversity is a small group in which everyone is given a chance to stand in front and report.well, this said strategy gives us more confident to really talk in front of our classmates. aside from that, 5 or more topics will be discuss in just one session because we will be going to report it all together.

3. What have I learned from my classmates? Well, each of them have different characteristics and personality. For the half semester, I've noticed that some of them are friendly and approachable, and some are not. but during our group discussion, they are active and they've share some ideas. We may have different attitudes and came from different departments but the unity and cooperation is there as we've present our respective repotrs.

4. What I've learned from Ms. Marian? Well, actually a lot! Miss Marian is s kind of teacher that really puts the discussion into action. What I mean to say is that, she really wants us to do or to perform the things that she discuss in order for us to experienced it. This, of course will help us and would enhance our knowledge about the subject. Miss Marian gives us an idea that humanities is a part of our lives. It may not be as important compared to our major subjects but we have to give some time to it.

" What have you learned in Humanities 1 for half a semester"

" What have you learned in Humanities 1 for half a semester"

When we say Humanities the First thing that enters our mind is all about Arts , Musics , Theater , Landscape and Architecture and etc. But based on my Research Humanities are academic discipline  that study human culture, using methods that are primarily critical or speculative, and have a significant historical element as distinguished from the mainly empirical approaches of the natural sciences. The humanities include ancient and modern languages , literature ,philosophy, religion, and visual and performing arts such as music and theater. The humanities that are also sometimes regarded as social sciences  include history, anthropology , area studies, communication studies , cultural studies, law and linguistics.

For the month of October- December. I've learned a lot for her. She tackled us everything about what is Humanities. She teach us how to be independent , mind thinking , and how to be with classmate in one group. She teach us how to make an easy and perfect visual arts.
Ms. Marian Alaba she is Kind, adorable , and fun to be with. She does want her class to get bored. Apparantly she's one of a kind teacher. She teach us how to correct our english grammar by using paper rater. She is very strict in comes for checking the attendance.

In our class we are in different courses like Social Work, Business Administration, Accountancy and HRM, I learned a lot of things to them like being brave in raising our hands to answer the questions correctly. By sharing thoughts, experiences and Stories in our own life eventhough we see each other only on tuesday and friday.

In Teaching Strategies , the way our teacher teach us is it is very Loud and clear. She make sure that we will understand our lesson clearly and she make sure that we will understand the lesson very well.

This is a part of the beautiful Pahayahay sa Pantalan here in Gingoog City. The Design of this landscape
has a Straight and curved lines.  It is Balance both sides are the same and especially there are many edges that can be seen in this Landscape. Very calm to see because of the View seen in this picture it is GLomy and very soft to see in the beauty of our eyes.
The Focus of the Design is the beautiful pathway that can we see , the lights and the comfortable environment for the individuals who will use the area. The overall feature of the landscape is simple , relaxing and im pretty sure that if you come in this area . You will Love it.

" What have you learned in Humanities 1 for half a semester"

We almost end up our school year. There would always be a thing/things that we learned in every subject that we enrolled in.

Humanities is an academic disciplines that study human culture, using methods that are primarily critical, or speculative, and have a significant historical element as distinguished from the mainly empirical approaches of the natural sciences. The humanities include ancient and modern languages, literature, philosophy, religion, and visual and performing arts such as music and theater. The humanities that are also sometimes regarded as social sciences include history, anthropology, area studies, communication studies, cultural studies, law and linguistics.

Our teacher Ms. Marian Alaba has these cool way of teaching her students. When she discussed a lesson she will make it more easier for us to understand. She makes our lesson fun at the same time we learned from her and the things that she discussed.

Our class is mixed, we have Social Work, Business Administration, Accountancy and HRM, yet we find our class very diligent in every work that our professor gave us. We may not see each other well but during our class hours we became one in cooperating to the discussion. There are lots of things that I learned from my classmates. Examples are how they expresses their own ideas that can make us also think. And to have a good communication to others even if we don’t see each other very often.

Things that I learned from my Professor are the things that I learn now about humanities. Things like how to observe a Landscape, that every landscape is not “just a landscape”, each things that we see and the things that surrounds us, has there own different story. And one thing that I learned about her is that “there are no wrong answers”. That’s why in our class, we answer her question even if we are not sure because she taught us to answer, answer, answer until we get it right.

As you can see in the picture, there are lots of color green used in the landscape. It complements the building because the building has a color green roof. The color itself gives a relaxing feeling to the people that worked, pay bills and even visitors . The form that is being used in the landscape are rectangle and a triangle. Most of the roof designs is form by a triangle, rectangle and triangle complement each other in the landscape.

The line that is being used are straight and curved . Straight lines are for the cars that is being parked in the parking lot and curved lines for those people who walked along the main door. The texture is rough because of the materials that being used like stones and bricks, when it comes to the design in the left and right side it is smooth because of the grass. The landscape that I took is balance because in the left and right there are plants that is the same in design & flowers. It maintains a comfortable environment for the individuals who will use the area.
